We’ve got a sweetheart of a Downtown – an original, authentic, real-deal downtown - accentuated by the most beautiful Town Square and Main Street lined with trendy shops, boutiques, antiques, live music, brews & spirits, friendly faces and good eats. We’ve become known for our family-friendly First Fridays in downtown surrounded by live music, food trucks, sidewalk vendors, and merchants that stay open a little later. The sites and stories of this sweet little town extend beyond our vibrant downtown.

The emerging Columbia Arts District is just a few blocks southwest of downtown and will captivate you with their local, funky, creative artists and makers. And our presidential credentials put us on the map as the ancestral home of the 11th U.S. President James K. Polk. Columbia is 45 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee and 75 miles north of Huntsville, Alabama with easy access from Interstate 65.
