Susan Manning is the co-founder of the Building Block School for the Arts in downtown Columbia, Tn. She is a GRAMMY® nominated, music educator and Music Education/Theater Arts instructor in the Maury County School System. With over 25 years in the arts as a teacher, director and performer, Manning has served as Executive Director for The Center for the Arts, where she volunteered as a director and performer for 20 years. She was named Vocal/Theater “Teacher of the Year 2005” at Columbia Central High School where she taught for 18 years. She was also a member of the Steering Committee for the formation of the Columbia Arts Council and currently serves as their Chair. She has taught vocal music lessons for several years, and is a former instructor for John Casablanca’s Model and Talent Agency. She holds a Bachelor’s of Music Education from the State University College of Potsdam’s Crane School of Music and a Masters of Education in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University.
