Mary Richardson spent her childhood drawing and painting. With only one art class in high school and two art classes at a local junior college, Mary has continued learning by reading books on art and watching online videos on various painting techniques. She enjoyed a two-day watercolor class with Alan Shuptrine at the Huntsville Museum of Art in the fall of 2024. Mary is a member of TN Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society and Women In Watercolor. In May of 2024, Mary’s painting “Bee Buffet”, was accepted and exhibited with TnWS Juried Biennial Exhibition in Knoxville, TN. She also exhibited at Pryor Gallery in August 2024 with a very talented group of local artists. She has exhibited several of her paintings regularly at various locations in Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin and Gallatin. Mary lives in Columbia, TN, and currently sells various art prints, cards, bookmarks, and original paintings at a local market in downtown Columbia. She is a retired gymnastic coach of 30 plus years and now being retired, she has the time to spend learning and experimenting with painting a variety of subjects.
