Marian has been involved in the arts since age seven, training as a ballet dancer in her formative years, attended School of the Arts in Purchase, NY, later performing with Princeton Ballet Company in NJ, NYC and Canada. She continued six more years of education and graduated as Doctor of Chiropractic. Her intense physical training and comprehensive study of anatomy evolved into a cumulative life exploration of human form and movement through her painting over the last decade. She refined her visual works in figurative studies, landscapes, still life, and portraits with pastel, oils, watercolor, and sculpting. Dr. Haynes is a self-taught artist and breast cancer survivor. Her work displays intuitive feeling, breath and insight acquired only through hardship and pain which has culminated in a strong sense life, light, composition and color. “Applying natural talent takes persistent constructive work over a long period of time. As I change, my artistic voice changes. And with any artistic expression or process, you go as far and as deep as your love goes.”. She enjoys exploring different genres working from life, and photographs, and plein air. Her work is sold through private sale.
