Laura Lane grew up in a farming community on the outskirts of Corinth, Mississippi. From an early age, she was surrounded by music, and discovered her love of singing through church and school. Early inspirations and influences included a diverse group of artists, including Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, and Tanya Tucker. At age 8, she started studying piano, which she continued to do through high school, where she also continued to study singing, started her first country band, and even played the cymbals in the marching band. Despite her passion for music, Laura gave it up when she went to college to concentrate on her studies, and as time went on, marriage, family, and other life responsibilities kept singing and performing as an occasional hobby. But, a tragic event in 2015 changed Laura's life and re-ignited the fire in her heart and her devotion to music.
