Overview

Get to know the history of downtown Columbia through stories of the Polk family's influence, and maybe even a scandal or two!

This interactive tour will begin and end at the President James K. Polk Home & Museum and take participants around the downtown area. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and does not include a tour of the Polk Home itself. Visitors should dress weather-appropriate and wear comfortable shoes.

Limited tickets may be available at the door, but participants are encouraged to purchase their tickets ahead of time to ensure their spot on the tour. The tour will meet out front of the Polk Home at 9 am.
